"My daughter was very upset that she cannot run fast like her friends. They were preparing for a race for sports day and everyday at home time she would tell me ; Mama ! I feel sad that I cant run fast like XYZ and I might not be able to win the race. I kept telling her that its not neccessary to win everything or to be on top at everything . I told her we are human beings and we are not perfect n good at everything. We have many shortcomings. I gave her examples how she did very good in some competitions and thats completly okay if she cant do good in others and its okay even if she is last in race. I told her the only competition she has with someone in this world is her ownself; she just have to strive to do better each time and focus on becoming a good human being each day and be happy for others also. I kept counselling her for whole week n on sports day she was completly okay for not being on top or a even a runner up . When we came home she asked me that she want to send a voice message to her friends who won the race. I was busy in making aftaar and when I checked her messages she had congratulated them so warmly and even told them that shes so happy for them and it just filled my heart with gratitude.

As mothers our goal is to give positive human beings to this society. Encourage your children to celebrate others and accept their situations. In society we see so many people around who are always in competition with others not only professionally but also at domestic level which is reason of jealousy and hatred and this is all due to old pattrens where kids were encouraged for unhealthy competitions not only in schools but also amount siblings and cousins. It's time to bring change.

I don't have the courage to share the details of her brutal & horrific murder but I want to say one thing only: a divorced daughter is better than a dead daughter. Please for heavens sake if your daughter comes home and tells you she isn't comfortable or she's facing issues, LISTEN TO HER. Value her words. Give her importance. Don't send her back just for the sake of kids and marriage. She was hardly 20 years old! 💔💔

Abuse comes in many forms. Physical, emotional and mental. Shiddat drama on Geo TV featuring Muneeb Butt and Anmol Baloch is a prime example of it. Anmol playing the role of Asra is a clear depiction of how young girls in love get manipulated & how it ruins their whole life and personality. Her family didn't listen to her either leaving her mentally unstable and confused.

Literally, over the past week we saw Sania e Zehra and one of the renowned journalists/anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb become a victim of domestic abuse. The cases keep increasing and each one of them is spine shivering! Womxn aren't safe anymore. Nowhere. Not inside our homes. Not on the roads. Nowhere!

Please please listen to your daughters and bring them home before it's too late.
