Norway is set to begin the construction of Rogfast, the world’s longest and deepest road tunnel. According to British media reports, the construction of Rogfast will cost $46 billion, and the engineering marvel is expected to be inaugurated in 2033.
The tunnel, which will be 16 miles long and built 1,300 feet underwater, is designed to ease travel between Norway’s southern and northern regions.
The Rogfast tunnel will connect the municipalities of Randaberg and Bokn in Rogaland County. Currently, residents and tourists rely on boats to travel between these areas.
The road tunnel is expected to accommodate 6,000 vehicles daily. Despite being the longest and deepest road tunnel in the world, Rogfast will allow drivers to pass through in just 35 minutes.
Currently, the longest road tunnel in the world is the 15-mile-long Lærdal Tunnel in Norway, which connects the municipalities of Lærdal and Aurland. It was built at a cost of €90 million and opened in 2000, serving as a critical non-ferry connection between Oslo and Bergen.

Experts have issued an immediate warning to Apple users about a bug that could expose their sensitive passwords to security risks. Users are advised to check their device settings and update their iPhones to ensure their private data remains secure.
If iPhone users have recently installed iOS 18, they might notice a new app called Passwords on their home screen, which appears to have been automatically downloaded.
This app stores all login credentials and passwords that users have allowed their phone to save.
While the tool seems highly useful, a system flaw was discovered soon after its launch.
Developer and security researcher Tommy Mysk highlighted that the app uses an "unencrypted" HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) for data transfer.
This means that if a user allows the Passwords app to auto-fill login details on a webpage, their information could potentially be leaked.
Although this issue has now been resolved, users must update their devices to ensure their data remains secure.

In November, factors such as a $700 million surplus in the current account, projections of remittances reaching $35 billion this year, and a 31% increase in foreign direct investment over the last five months contributed to the strengthening of the Pakistani rupee against the dollar after a five-day break.
The real effective exchange rate increased from 100.78 to 102.92 points, reaching its highest level in seven months. As a result, the dollar faced a decline throughout the trading day in the interbank market.
At one point, the dollar dropped by 25 paisas to reach 278.02 rupees, but due to increased demand for imports and external payments, the dollar closed at 278.22 rupees, a decrease of 5 paisas.
In the open currency market, the dollar also saw a decline of 4 paisas, closing at 279.19 rupees.
It is important to note that the strengthening of the dollar globally, due to the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate decisions, is making the dollar stronger against other major currencies worldwide.

A highly rare golden egg was recently auctioned in the UK for £200 (over 70,000 Pakistani Rupees).
The egg's previous owner, Ed Pownall from Lambourn, Berkshire, had purchased it for £150. After acquiring it, Mr. Pownall donated the egg to the Iuventas Foundation, a charitable organization that provides life coaching, guidance, and mental health support to young people in Oxfordshire.
Initially, the foundation found Mr. Pownall's suggestion to auction the egg amusing. However, after reading articles about the egg's sale, they decided to move forward with the auction.
The foundation expressed excitement and satisfaction with the egg’s auction, noting that the proceeds will help them continue supporting young people in need.
The funds raised will assist children aged 13 to 25 struggling with mental health challenges. The foundation added that this will enable them to reach more young individuals who require their help.

Archaeologists in Kuwait have unearthed a 7,000-year-old clay figurine that bears a striking resemblance to a modern-day alien.
The figurine, which looks more supernatural than human, was common in ancient Mesopotamia. However, it is the first of its kind to be discovered in Kuwait or the Arabian Gulf region.
The artifact was found during excavations at Bahra 1, a significant archaeological site in northern Kuwait. The figurine features slanted eyes, a flat nose, and an elongated skull, meticulously crafted with remarkable detail. A joint Kuwaiti-Polish archaeological team has been excavating Bahra 1 since 2009.
Bahra 1 is one of the oldest settlements on the Arabian Peninsula, dating back to between 5500 and 4900 BCE.
During this time, a culture known as Ubaid settled in Bahra 1. Originating in Mesopotamia, the Ubaid culture is renowned for its distinctive pottery and figurines, including alien-like sculptures similar to the one recently discovered.

In Spain, experts have warned that the next global pandemic could originate from the United States.
According to La Vanguardia, epidemiologists believe that as H5N1 bird flu continues to mutate and spread across the U.S., it could potentially trigger a new global pandemic in the future.
Known as bird flu, this disease is a viral infection that spreads among birds, cattle, and other animals.
Although there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission so far, experts state that the transfer of the virus from wildlife to domestic animals increases the risk of human infection, which could arise due to potential new mutations.
According to the institution, there is a higher likelihood of this new pandemic emerging from the U.S. However, experts expressed relief at the access to information regarding this region.
Fran Franco, head of a department at Joan Ramón Jiménez University Hospital, stated, "There is no doubt that if something happens in the U.S., it will be immediately detected.”

Drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs can now be detected using an AI-powered camera, tested for the first time in Devon and Cornwall counties in England.

The AI camera identifies erratic behavior in drivers caused by alcohol or drug impairment. Upon detection, it immediately alerts the police, who can then stop the vehicle roadside and conduct tests to check for signs of intoxication.

Geoff Collins, General Manager of Acusensus, the company behind the technology, expressed his satisfaction with the initial trials being conducted in Devon and Cornwall.

He added, "If we can identify problems before a life-altering incident occurs, we all stay safer."

The camera can quickly rotate to monitor any road, operating discreetly so that drivers remain unaware of its presence until they are stopped by the police.

Dates are a remarkable food known for their extraordinary health benefits, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

However, combining dates with a glass of milk in winter is an even more effective way to keep your body healthier, stronger, and more energetic.

The energy derived from dates becomes significantly amplified when paired with milk, which contains protein and healthy fats. This combination provides you with sustained energy.

Dates are high in fiber and natural sweetness, which enhance energy levels. When consumed with milk, this blend slows digestion, aiding in the absorption of fats and proteins.

Key Benefits of the Dates and Milk Combo

1. Boosts Energy: The natural sugars in dates, combined with the protein and fat in milk, create a balanced source of long-lasting energy.

2. Improves Digestion: The fiber in dates promotes digestive health, while milk helps with nutrient absorption, making it a beneficial blend for overall gut health.

3. Heart Health: The combination helps reduce the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure. This is due to the abundance of potassium and calcium, two essential nutrients for cardiovascular health.

4. Enhances Blood Circulation: Dates and milk work together to promote healthy blood flow, further supporting heart health and overall vitality.

Incorporating dates and milk into your winter diet can be a simple yet powerful step toward improved health and wellness.
