A few weeks ago, we had a conversation with a business owner who was frustrated with how they were managing their work.

They were using WhatsApp for customer conversations, Excel for records, and keeping some important information in their own notes.

Nothing sounded too complicated.

But when the business started getting more customers, things started getting messy.

Some follow-ups were missed.
Some records were difficult to find.
And the team was spending more time managing information than actually working with customers.

So we didn't start by saying, “Let's build a huge system.”

We first asked:
“What is actually causing the problem?”

A real estate client in Pakistan came to us with a full request:

✓ WhatsApp automation for buyer inquiries
✓ Social media management across platforms
✓ Ongoing management of all of it — for a full year

If you've sold software in this market, this isn't rare. It's close to standard.

The budget on the table? $700.

The easy reaction is to call it unrealistic and walk away. But that's not the interesting part of this.

Here's the pattern we keep running into:

Local SMEs aren't undervaluing the work
They simply don't have a reference point for pricing each piece separately
To them, "getting online properly" is one request — not five
A website, a record system, automated replies, and content all feel like the same ask

So instead of treating it as a pricing problem, we're treating it as a packaging problem.

We haven't closed this one yet — still working out where the numbers actually land for both sides.
