The Legendary Leap of London’s Tower Bridge 🌉
On December 30, 1952, an extraordinary event unfolded on London’s iconic Tower Bridge. As the bridge began to rise for a passing ship, a double-decker bus was still crossing. Faced with a split-second decision, driver Albert Gunter chose bravery over hesitation. Instead of stopping, he hit the accelerator and leapt the widening gap—with 20 passengers onboard!

Miraculously, the bus landed safely on the other side, and everyone survived. Albert himself suffered only a broken leg, but his daring act turned him into a local legend. His heroic leap remains one of the most unforgettable moments in history, cementing his place as one of London’s bravest drivers.

This incredible story is a testament to quick thinking, courage, and the unpredictable adventures of urban life.
