پہلی ایٹمی سائنسدان سمیرا موسیٰ 3 مارچ 1917 کو پیدا ہوئیں۔ انہیں 5 اگست 1952 کو یہودیوں نے (ق ت ل) کر دیا تھا۔

وہ غربیہ گورنریٹ کے زیفتا سینٹر کے گاؤں میں پیدا ہوئی تھیں، وہ پہلی مصری ایٹمی سائنسدان ہیں اور قاہرہ یونیورسٹی میں فیکلٹی آف سائنس میں پہلی ٹیچنگ اسسٹنٹ تھیں ۔ اس وقت لڑکیوں کے لئے یہ ڈگری اور پوزیشن حاصل کرنا عام بات نہیں تھی-

سمیرا موسیٰ کی ذہانت کے بارے میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ انہوں نے سیکنڈری اسکول کے پہلے سال میں الجبرا کی سرکاری کتاب میں غلطیاں نکال کر ان کی درستگی کی، اسے اپنے والد کے خرچے پر چھاپا، اور 1933 میں اسے اپنے ساتھیوں میں مفت تقسیم کیا۔

سمیرا نے گیسوں کی تھرمل کمیونیکیشن میں ماسٹرز کی ڈگری حاصل کی اور ایک مشن پر برطانیہ گئیں جہاں انہوں نے جوہری تابکاری Atomic Radioactivity کا مطالعہ کیا اور ایکس رے X-Ray اور مختلف اشیا پر اس کے اثرات میں ڈاکٹریٹ کی PHD کی ڈگری حاصل کی۔
