Snooker history could be made during the 2026/27 season as Mark Selby closes in on the incredible milestone of 1,000 career century breaks. π
The four-time world champion needs just 39 more centuries to reach the landmark and, after compiling 67 tons last season, it looks increasingly likely that he will become only the fifth player ever to join snookerβs exclusive 1,000-century club. π―π₯
The last few seasons have seen Ronnie OβSullivan, John Higgins, Neil Robertson, and Judd Trump all reach the magical four-figure mark. Once Selby gets there, it could be several years before another player joins the club, with Shaun Murphy currently the closest challenger on 788 career centuries.
