The Guardians of the Galaxy recently added a few new members to the team in the MCU, and one of them is actually Thanos' successor in the comics.

Thanos inadvertently formed the Guardians of the Galaxy, but in doing so, he also created a successor for himself, as revealed in the comics.

Phyla-Vell becomes the Avatar of Death in the comics, gaining the power and prestige exhibited by Thanos.

Phyla-Vell who made her live-action debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, now has the opportunity to follow in Thanos' footsteps and become his official successor.

James Gunn has confirmed the future of three key DC actors.

Following the conclusion of the writers’ strike, the director, who oversees DC Studios with Peter Safran, is sharing updates about forthcoming films set to be released as part of the comic book film adaptation series.

While doing this, Gunn announced that Viola Davis, John Cena and Xolo Maridueña will all return as their characters Amanda Waller, Peacemaker and Blue Beetle, respectively.

DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn confirmed an unsurprising update about John Cena's status as Peacemaker in the DCU.

Peacemaker managed to complete its story from start to finish in Season 1, but its Season 2 renewal made it clear that Christopher Smith's adventures are far from over.

Ahead of the show's sophomore run, there were concerns that John Cena would not return as Peacemaker due to the impending DC reboot. Despite being crucial to several stories in the Infinity Saga, the Infinity Stones have been curiously missing from the main continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the events of 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Although they weren't actually named until Thor: The Dark World's post-credits scene, the MCU's Infinity Stones had already been at the core of the MCU throughout Phase 1. They were featured as some of the most coveted objects in the Infinity Saga, culminating in Thanos tracking them down and using them to wipe out half the population of the universe in Avengers: Infinity War. Despite their importance, however, they haven't been the focus of the MCU's Multiverse Saga.

The collection of animated DC superhero movies known as the Tomorrowverse has much in store in the coming years as the series embarks on a new Justice League event.

Many DC fans might not be aware that Warner Bros. has produced several animated films set in their own continuity, separate from their live-action DC offerings.

This animated universe was rebooted with 2020’s Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and continued on into additional stories, focusing on Batman, Green Lantern, and even the Justice League.

And even though James Gunn and Peter Safran are ushering in a fresh, new era for DC content, the co-CEOs have stated that certain out-of-continuity shows and movies will remain in production under the DC Elseworlds banner, including the Tomorrowverse.

Marvel Cinematic Universe is right now struggling to bounce back to the glory it once was. While the studio has managed to set up the multiverse in the entire fourth phase and the half of the fifth, going ahead, we will be seeing the repercussions of the events that have led to the blurring of the timelines. One movie that sits right amid the Multiverse Saga but will mostly not brush shoulders with it in a big way is Captain America: Brave New World, aka Captain America 4. While Anthony Mackie joins the main timeline as the new Cap, what happens to Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers is a mystery.

For the unversed, after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Captain America, aka Steve Rogers, played by Evans, travelled back in time to return the infinity stones and even ended up fulfilling his promise to Peggy Carter. However, he can back aged (he was buried in a glacier for 70 years, remember?), so he passed on the mantle to Sam Wilson aka Falcon. It took an entire series for Wilson to then come to terms with this new responsibility.

Tom Welling's Superman, along with several Smallville characters, get drastically redesigned costumes in new DC Universe fan art. Smallville continues to be one of the hottest DC live-action properties to this day, as it tells the biggest Superman prequel story while also helping pave the way for a lot of comic book TV shows and movies today. While Smallville ended in 2011, Welling returned in 2019 as his version of Clark Kent in Crisis on Infinite Earths, which was the Arrowverse's last proper major crossover event, giving fans a chance to enjoy his iteration of the character one more time.

Marvel Studios has yet to explain Captain America's ability to slightly move Mjölnir in Avengers: Age of Ultron, despite being worthy of wielding it in Avengers: Endgame.
A popular theory suggests that Captain America was already almost worthy in Age of Ultron, and his worthiness was fully realized after coming clean about Bucky's involvement in Civil War.
That being said, a better theory proposes that Thor's hammer knew of Steve's future actions in Endgame and deemed him worthy based on his character, allowing him to move it in Age of Ultron.
