The toll tax for cars travelling on the Islamabad–Lahore Motorway (M-2) has been increased to Rs. 1,430, nearly Rs. 1,500, following a 7% hike announced by the National Highway Authority (NHA).
The revised rates have come into effect under the motorway’s concession agreement and will remain applicable until April 23, 2027. The increase also applies to other vehicle categories, with toll charges revised according to the per-kilometre rate.
The M-2 motorway continues to undergo rehabilitation and modernization as part of ongoing infrastructure improvement projects.
