The floods in Gilgit Baltistan are are getting severe year by year. Most of the areas have now become highly risky to reside. In the past few years the climate change has started impacting the region hugely and it's only getting worse. It's time to take a step NOW!
The people, the stakeholders, decision makers - all need to wake up, to act, to save the beautiful land for the future generations. We need to plant more, cut less trees.
Let's stop building lavish (wooden panelled) houses, offices and hotels at the cost of increasing destruction. Let's act responsibly, sensibly and sensitively. Let's not forget tomorrow what's happening today! Let's decide now and act until we restore what we're losing. Let's say no to deforestation!!
Saying all that, we're deeply concerned about all the effectees and pray that they get the strength to soon recover from all the losses. And please be generous in helping everyone who's effected by the floods.
May Allah keep everyone safe. AAMEEN!
