HOW TO CREATE AN OPTIMIZED EBAY LISTING TO INCREASE TRAFFIC AND VISIBILITY TO BOOST YOUR SALES!
1. Spare at least one dedicated hour for thorough research.
2. Use eBay’s, “Advanced search” option or, “Terapeak” to look for the following tabs:
Completed listings
Sold listings
Active Listings (From Terapeak)
3. Take a sample of at least 5 to 6 competitor’s listings, selling consistently for the last 30 days.
4. For each competitor’s listing, you will spend about 5 to 10 minutes analyzing that competitor thoroughly.
5. Open the browser in incognito mode.
6. This time, start a search through the highly relevant Keywords (short tail and long tail) and see where your listing appears against those keywords. And note that it on excel sheet having columns “keywords and Visibility” (cap and 1st page 24th place).
7. Repeat step 6 after applying all the filters or item specifications that buyers are likely to select and see where your listing appears. Record it on an excel sheet by adding one more column “Visibility with item-specific”.
8. See how they describe the same item (describe it clearly). Make a sheet and summarize your observations regarding your competitors and how your listing will be compared to other sellers like the selling price, product features, description, shipping policy, return policy, delivery time, etc.
9. Now optimize your listing according to the points that you have figured from this activity.
The thing to remember is that listing optimization is not a one-time thing. This requires constant work and just doing some research once will not automatically make you a successful eBay seller. You must repeat it again and again till you got the same sales, your competitors are enjoying!
PS: Never Play with the listings having recent sales!
