The World Cup balls are charged before every game. The balls used at the World Cup in Qatar have a high-tech sensor which needs to be charged.

The sensor is powered by a small battery, which Adidas said can last for six hours of active use, or up to 18 days when not. The sensor, which weighs just 14 grams, gives ball-tracking in real-time; with cameras positioned around the pitch helping referees to determine offside and other questionable decisions.

Any time the ball is kicked, headed, thrown or even so much as tapped, the system picks it up at 500 frames per second. Data is sent in real time from sensors to a local positioning system (LPS), which involves a setup of network antennas installed around the playing field that take in and store the data for immediate use.

When a ball flies out of bounds during the course of play, and a new ball is thrown or kicked in to replace it, KINEXON’s backend system automatically switches to the new ball’s data input without the need for human intervention.

Pakistan imported mobile phones worth $160.271 million during the first quarter (July-September) of the current fiscal year 2022-23 (FY23), registering a decrease of 67.62 percent when compared to $494.960 million during the same period of last year.
Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data shows that on a month-on-month (MoM) basis mobile phone imports decreased by 7.38 percent and stood at $58.407 million in September 2022 when compared to $63.06 million in August 2022.
Mobile phone imports registered 72.06 percent negative growth on a year-on-year (YoY) basis in September 2022 when compared to $209.013 million during the same month of last year.
The overall telecom imports into the country stood at $248.998 million during the first quarter of FY23 registering a decrease of 60.96 percent compared to $637.874 million during the same period of last fiscal year.

However, on a YoY basis, the overall telecom imports decreased by 70.89 percent in September 2022 and stood at $78.846 million when compared to $270.823 million in September 2021. On an MoM basis, the overall telecom imports registered a decrease of 22.35 percent in September 2022 when compared to $101.537 million during August 2022.
Other apparatus imports stood at $88.727 million in July-September 2022 and registered 37.92 percent negative growth when compared to $142.914 million during the same period of the last fiscal year.

On a year-on-year basis, other apparatus remained at $20.439 million in September 2022 and registered 66.93 percent negative growth when compared to $61.810 million in September 2021 and registered 46.88 percent negative growth on an MoM basis when compared to $38.477 million in August 2022.

Pakistan is all set to host the Asia Cup in 2023, but the major concern around the event has been India’s participation, which was uncertain until the Annual General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The top BCCI officials held the Annual General Meeting in Mumbai yesterday, October 18, and decided not to travel to Pakistan for the continental championship, instead demanding that the event be shifted to a neutral venue.

While speaking to the media BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, said, “Neutral venue for Asia Cup is not unprecedented and we have decided that we will not travel to Pakistan. I have decided that we will play at a neutral venue. ”
It is worth noting that a BCCI official stated last week that the decision to send the Men in Blue to Pakistan is subject to permission from the Indian government, but it is definitely on the board’s agenda right now.

The involvement of the BJP-led government in the country’s cricketing affairs is not for the first time and last week a lawmaker stated that Ganguly was forced to leave the top BCCI position after refusing to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan hosted Australia for a full-fledged series, the West Indies for an ODI series, and England for a T20I series. England will return for the Test and ODI series later this year while New Zealand is also scheduled to tour the country at the end of the year.
