Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has registered the most expensive vehicle in its history, a luxury SUV worth Rs. 176 million.

According to Director Shahid Gilani, the registration fee alone stood at Rs. 94.41 million, the highest ever collected by the department. The record was previously set in 2023 with the registration of a Range Rover variant carrying a Rs. 9.11 million fee.

The latest registration was done by Gujranwala resident Ahmed Waqas, who also obtained a special number plate. Officials confirmed that the Motor Branch Lahore continues to lead revenue collection, generating over Rs. 5 billion in the first two months of the fiscal year.
