ان کی نمازِ جنازہ آج شام 5:30 بجے بنجاڑ، تحصیل الپورئی، ضلع شانگلہ میں ادا کی جائے گی۔

Flood 2025 Update – Tehsil Puran, District Shangla

The recent floods have brought unprecedented devastation across Tehsil Puran, especially in Chaoga and Kozpao.

Over 1000 acres of fertile agricultural land has been washed away.
Standing crops of rice and maize have been completely destroyed, leaving hundreds of families without their livelihood.
Villages remain cut off, and the destruction to fields is beyond imagination.

This is not just damage to land – it is a blow to the lives, hopes, and future of our people. The affected families are in urgent need of support and rehabilitation.

Please keep the people of Tehsil Puran in your prayers, and let us come together to extend every possible help in this hour of need.

Flood Damage Assessment By District Agriculture Task Force SHANGLA at Tehsil Puran, UC Chaoga, and Sundvi. UC Chaoga and Chagam, Sundvi have been severely affected by the flash flood induced by a cloud burst on the mountains on August 15, 2025. Farmers' agricultural land, with crops nearing maturity, primarily rice/paddy and maize, have suffered significant damage. Valuable agricultural land has been lost. On average, each farmer has lost approximately half of their productive soil due to water erosion.

Minister for Agriculture Maj. (Retd.) Sajjad Barakwal, Secretary Agriculture Dr. Amber Ali Khan, all Director Generals of Agriculture line departments, including our worthy Director General Mr. Nazeer khan visited District Buner to review flood damage assessments and rehabilitation measures with the Directors of Agriculture line departments.
Addressing a gathering at MFSC Hall, the Minister for Agriculture, Maj. (Retd.) Sajjad Barakwal, expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives, property, and standing crops caused by recent rains and floods.
Secretary Agriculture, Dr. Amber Ali Khan, emphasized the need for all field formations to mobilize every available resource to collect authentic data and ensure comprehensive rehabilitation.
The high-level delegation also visited flood-affected sites in Sultanwa and Jaokhela, Tehsil Gadezai near Pir Baba.
