If you don’t want anyone to share your content, change your settings.😁

I shared someone’s content on another page of mine over on FB and they blocked the reel which in turn gave me a copyright violation.🤬 That is not good for my account and thankfully I was able to remove the reel and it went away (and of course I unfollowed them) BUT if you don’t want other creators to share your content…first why are you promoting it on social and 2nd why haven’t you changed your settings?

Note 1: This was a share from their account, I did NOT copy/download their content.

Note 2: you need to change these settings on other social sites too.

This particular account has over a MILLION followers so I can only imagine they are on Facebook to share and grow their business. I don’t get it.🤷‍♀️ BUT please there are settings for this sort of thing, just Google something like, “what is the Facebook/Instagram setting so people can’t share my reels”. And do that.

Don’t report other people because YOU didn’t change your settings. OK? Thanks.

Everyone makes UGC sound so easy.

“Just make videos and brands will pay you.”

Ummm… not exactly.

UGC can be an amazing way to make money online, but let’s be honest about what actually goes into it.

You’re not just sitting around waiting for brands to magically appear in your inbox.

Successful UGC usually includes:

-Learning how to film content brands actually want

-Understanding hooks, angles, lighting, and storytelling

-Taking photos and videos that feel natural but still sell

-Editing content so it looks polished

-Pitching brands and making real connections

-Following up instead of giving up after one email

-Sending contracts and invoices

-Knowing your rates and usage rights

-Tracking payments

-Setting aside money for taxes

-Staying creative even when you feel awkward on camera

And yes… it takes work.

I think that’s the part a lot of people leave out when they’re promoting their “make money with UGC” course.

I’m currently taking two lower-investment UGC courses that I’ve really been enjoying (and they don’t claim that it’s easy and don’t take work). The content and communities have been great, and both creators are super personable and easy to learn from.

I also follow someone who is absolutely amazing at UGC, and while her course is more of a high-ticket investment, I can 100% see how it would be a great fit for someone who wants to take UGC seriously and build it into a full-time business. Check her out on TT at heyimtran I don’t have a referral link for her course because I’m not taking it.😉

You can tell she works hard, is incredibly creative and yes, she gets paid REALLY well for it.

That’s the part I respect.

UGC is not “easy money,” but it can be real money if you’re willing to learn the skills, do the leg work, and treat it like an actual business.

So when I share courses or creators I recommend, please know I’m not sharing them because I think UGC is a quick little side hustle where you film one cute video and suddenly brands are throwing cash at you.😂

I’m sharing them because I believe the right training can help you understand what’s really involved and decide if it’s something you actually want to pursue.

Because easy? Not exactly.

Possible? Absolutely.
Worth learning? I think so.
But let’s not pretend there isn’t work involved.

When someone makes UGC sound effortless and then points you straight to their course link, it’s okay to pause and look a little deeper👍
