Jeff Bezos Is Trying to Sell His Half-Billion Dollar Yacht Because It’s Just Too Darn Big

Don’t you hate it when your yacht is just too massive to manage? According to a source, Jeff Bezos is quietly shopping his $500 million floating palace, Koru. The reason? It has become a logistical nightmare. The 417-foot vessel is one of the world’s largest sailing yachts, and apparently, that is more of a headache than a flex.

The jaw-dropping ship even comes with a $75 million support yacht named Abeona. Together, they cost about $30 million a year to operate. For the 250 billion dollar man, that is pocket change. But for potential buyers? That price tag might scare even the richest sharks.

So what went wrong? The yacht is simply too recognizable. It features a wooden sculpture of Bezos’ wife, Lauren Sanchez, as a mermaid on the prow. It has water cannons for pirates, but fans are joking they would work just as well on paparazzi.

The ship has been denied mooring in Monaco. It could not fit in the Florida Everglades. During Bezos and Sanchez’s lavish summer wedding in Venice, the yacht could not get anywhere near the lagoon. They still threw a foam party on board, though.

A source notes that billionaires can suffer from “aquatic p***s envy.” But in this case, bigger has just become a burden. The boat has a glass-bottom pool, three jacuzzis, a helipad, and a crew of 36. It has hosted A-listers like Oprah, Kim Kardashian, and Leo DiCaprio. A rep for Bezos did not respond to requests for comment.

So the yacht that was supposed to rule the waves is now just waiting for the right buyer. Even for billionaires, sometimes you learn that less really is more.
