🚨 BREAKING | UN official Tom Fletcher warns 14,000 infants in Gaza face death within 48 hours without urgent aid.

In a BBC interview, the UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs described the situation as "utterly chilling" and urged immediate action. "We must flood Gaza with humanitarian aid to save as many of these 14,000 babies as possible in the next 48 hours," he said.

Palestinian Media Under Fire: Journalists and Institutions Targeted in Gaza

Since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, at least 212 Palestinian journalists have been killed, according to local media sources and press freedom organizations. An additional 409 have been injured, with some suffering life-altering injuries including amputations.

Currently, 48 journalists are reported to be held in Israeli prisons, raising concerns from international human rights groups about press freedom and due process.

The genocide has also decimated Gaza’s media infrastructure. At least 143 media institutions have been destroyed, severely crippling the region’s ability to report from the ground. In addition, 21 social media activists have been killed, further silencing voices critical to documenting the genocide.

The financial toll on Gaza’s media sector is estimated at $400 million, highlighting the scale of the destruction and the long-term impact on Palestinian journalism.

Over 65,000 Palestinian children have been hospitalized with severe malnutrition as Israel continues to use starvation as a “systematic weapon of war” in the Gaza Strip.

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the number of children receiving treatment for malnutrition in Gaza rose by 80% in April compared to March, driven by Israel’s ongoing blockade and border crossing closures.

Israel Shrinks Gaza Territory, Displacing Hundreds of Thousands

A renewed Israeli offensive has displaced 420,000 more Palestinians, with 70% of Gaza now declared a military "red zone"—areas off-limits to civilians and potentially annexed by Israel in the future.

Gaza Reduced to One-Third

The buffer zone along the Israeli-Egyptian border has been widened, severing access to vital resources like food, water, and healthcare. Originally covering 17% of Gaza, the zone now spans nearly the entire strip.

The UN and legal experts call this a blatant violation of international law.
