Grateful is an understatement.

This year marked a major milestone for us, with the launch of our first location in Ribeira d’Ilhas and our second in Carcavelos. From early mornings at the beach to late nights spent building, testing, doubting, and dreaming. None of this would exist without the people around this table and the community beyond it.

Thank you to everyone who believed in the vision, pushed us forward, shared honest feedback, and showed unwavering support. You’re the reason Surf REC is becoming part of the local surfing community.

We’re heading into 2026 with confidence, strong energy, and big hopes for what’s ahead.

🔧🤖 We’re Hiring: Robotics Software Engineer!

Do you dream in C++, Python, and ROS? Want to build the next generation of autonomous robots? This one’s for you.

We’re looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to join our Lisbon team. You will work closely with our robotics partner , focusing on the expansion of Surf REC.

What you’ll do:

🚀 Develop software for mobile robots & smart automated devices
🧠 Build algorithms for motion planning, perception & control.
🔌 Integrate sensors like LiDAR, cameras, IMUs & more.
🤝 Work closely with mechanical & electrical teams.
🌍 Support deployment of robotic systems in real environments.

What we’re looking for:

🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
💡 Strong skills in C++ / Python / Embedded systems.
📐 Solid understanding of kinematics, control theory & automation.
🛠️ Experience with ROS/ROS2, real-time systems or machine vision is a plus.
🔍 Problem-solver with an analytical mindset.
