PVC COLLECTION BEGINS TODAY!

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) today, Friday, 9th October 2026.

Residents of Lekki LCDA who recently completed new voter registration or transfers are encouraged to visit the designated collection centre to collect their PVCs.

WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 2026: HONOURING THE BUILDERS OF OUR FUTURE

Today, I celebrate our teachers, the dedicated men and women who continue to shape minds, inspire dreams and build the foundation upon which our society’s future rests.

Teaching is a responsibility to humanity. Every lesson taught, every child encouraged and every potential nurtured is an investment in the future of our communities and our nation.

As we commemorate World Teachers’ Day, I commend our teachers across Lekki LCDA for their dedication, patience and commitment to educating the next generation, often in the face of demanding circumstances.

As a Council, we recognise that meaningful development must include quality education, because the future we desire for Lekki LCDA depends greatly on the quality of minds we raise today.

To every teacher, thank you for teaching, mentoring, inspiring and believing in our children.

RBK MONTHLY FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION 2026 (SEPTEMBER EDITION)

2,010 widows benefit as Lekki LCDA continues monthly food support.

Beneficiaries drawn from the five wards of Lekki LCDA received food support, as the Council held the September edition of the RBK Monthly Free Food Distribution at the Council Secretariat.

Coordinated by the Department of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), the distribution by the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has been to provide practical support to vulnerable residents within the council area.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman explained that the intervention, alongside the Council’s other social programmes and development projects, is being strengthened by the increased resources available to governments at the grassroots following the removal of fuel subsidy under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

RBK stressed that the monthly food distribution should not be viewed as poverty alleviation, but as a deliberate measure to provide succour, dignity and immediate relief to residents who need support.

Importantly, as beneficiaries departed the Secretariat, many passed ongoing Council projects within the vicinity, a fitting reminder that supporting vulnerable residents and building lasting infrastructure are not competing responsibilities.

The same administration providing food today is also investing in healthcare, infrastructure and other projects designed to deliver lasting value to Lekki communities.

RBK INSPECTS TYPE-C PHC AS PROJECT ENTERS FINISHING STAGE

With the construction of the Lekki LCDA Type-C Primary Health Centre now entering its finishing stage, the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), paid an inspection visit to the project site to assess its progress and ensure that the development remains on course.

The Chairman’s visit was an opportunity to inspect the ongoing finishing works firsthand, review the state of the facility and identify areas requiring attention as the project moves closer to completion.

For RBK, the project is more than another structure rising within the council. It is part of a deliberate effort to strengthen access to quality primary healthcare for residents and provide a health facility capable of responding to the needs of a rapidly growing community.

True to his hands-on approach to development, the Chairman continues to personally monitor projects of strategic importance to Lekki LCDA, from the foundation stages to the final details.

With the major construction works substantially advanced, attention is now turning to the finishing touches that will bring the Type-C PHC closer to serving the people for whom it was conceived.

IGBOGUN SAYS THANK YOU

From consultation and testing to eye care, medication and other essential medical services, the RBK Free Medical Outreach brought healthcare closer to residents of Igbogun.

For many who attended, it was more than a medical exercise. It was an opportunity to access care, ask questions, receive attention and leave with one less worry.

The people of Igbogun appreciate Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), Executive Chairman, Lekki LCDA, for the initiative and for making free healthcare accessible within the community.

As one of the many benefits of the subsidy removal, the Chairman Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), took Free Medical Outreach to Igbogun during the week, where over 600 residents benefited from comprehensive medical tests, treatments, and free drugs.

Thanks to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's vision of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, the once "closed off" Igbogun community is now more easily accessible by road.

BACK TO SCHOOL, WITH A LITTLE LESS TO WORRY ABOUT

As schools resumed across Lagos and Lekki LCDA, the Chairman’s free school bus service was also back on the road, helping students get to and from their various schools safely and conveniently.

From the early morning rush to students settling into their seats, the buses provided by the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), were on hand to support families as the new school term began.

For parents, it means one less transportation concern. For students, it means a smoother journey to learning.

Sometimes, the impact of governance is simply making everyday life a little easier for the people.
