PISTA! é uma publicação bianual, criada em 2018, que visa acompanhar e documentar todos os aspectos relativos à criação e divulgação de música contemporânea em Portugal, com especial atenção dada aos mais variados tipos de expressão electrónica e aos demais assuntos que gravitam em torno da cultura de clube nacional. Conduzida em torno de densas entrevistas aos principais agentes da cena nacional

, a revista contará também com artigos, ensaios, retratos e registos fotográficos, procurando dar a esses mesmos agentes, o espaço necessário para a divulgação do seu trabalho ao mesmo tempo que lança um olhar crítico a todos os momentos da criação artística, dentro e fora do Clube.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Back in 2017, we met first with with Pedro Tenreiro and Alex FX and later with Rui Miguel Abreu to trace the steps which made them, in the late 90s, gave birth to one of the most interesting Portuguese labels ever. In a time where everybody was saying that vinyl was dead and were moving away from it, these young rebels had the crazy idea to start releasing all kinds of different experiments and fusions of Portuguese dance music, exclusively on wax. What other name could have they given to it if not Kami Khazz?

ÁCIDA () is a set of situations founded in Porto. It was September 2018 and after walking up and down Rua Mártires da Liberdade a couple of times, we finally found the spot. A tight tiny stair lead to a gloomy basement bellow some random bar. and were playing and it was very fast for the spot to become small for the wave of half naked dancers fuelled by all sort of consumptions. Freedom was king…

Mário (), is one of those faces that has always been around. With is kind and shy smile and a gentle manner, he has been moving from heavy rock and punk to the more mundane aspects of pop with, of course, deep incursions into dance music. DJ NEVOIRO (), é “pauliteiro techno sapiência”! Born inside of the web, DJ Nevoeiro cuts references from pop and portuguese culture and pastes them right in the middle of the rave scene. A última semana foi cansativa e só agora tivemos um pouco tempo para descansar. Foi bom, e importante para nós, poder dar início a esta aventura na Flur Discos, Lux Frágil e Passos Manuel. Ao Dinis, Alcides, Rui Miguel Abreu, Isilda Sanches, Pedro Ricardo e Tsuri por terem arrancado nisto connosco e a todos vocês que apoiaram e dançaram, obrigado. Vemo-nos na PISTA!

Olá ravers, clubbers, e demais curiosos e interessados na nova música nacional! Estamos em 2018 e a toda a hora somos bombardeados por novos projetos, novas editoras, colectivos e eventos. A indústria musical vive dessa mesma intensidade e o que hoje é fresco e novo, amanhã deixa de ser. É por sentir necessidade de parar, abrandar e pensar a fundo sobre a criação de música em Portugal que nasce a PISTA!. PISTA! é uma publicação bianual que visa acompanhar e documentar todos os aspectos relativos à criação e divulgação de música contemporânea em Portugal, com especial atenção dada aos mais variados tipos de expressão electrónica e aos demais assuntos que gravitam em torno da cultura de clube nacional. Conduzida em torno de densas entrevistas aos principais agentes da cena nacional, a revista contará também com artigos, ensaios, retratos e registos fotográficos. Para além da edição impressa, a PISTA! conta também com uma forte presença online, onde constam alguns vídeos de destaque a certas entrevistas e, futuramente, conteúdo original. O lançamento do número zero da revista acontece em maio e funciona como uma espécie de homenagem à fundação da cultura de clube nacional. Nele a PISTA! vai de encontro aos seus precursores, percorrendo o período que vai desde o final dos anos 80 até ao início dos anos 2000. Fiquem atentos às novidades!
