DTRS'15: Design |Re| Thinking

Natalia Olszewska

A Polish physician and co-founder of Impronta, Natalia Olszewska advocates for a close link between the humanities and design applied to architecture in order to create environments that can prevent disease, through spaces that promote health, resilience, and human vitality. She deepened her knowledge in neuroscience and, from there, established bridges to practice, initiating a series of collaborations with renowned architectural firms. During her visit to Lisbon as a guest of the II Neuroarchitecture Meeting, we explored the movement of neuroscience applied to architectural design and the idea of ​​execution based on scientific principles, data, and guidelines, which is already allowing for an evolution in how the built environment is conceived.

PANCHO GUEDES - Mestre e Pioneiro

Ontem, na Ordem dos Arquitectos, em Lisboa, celebrando 100 anos de Pancho Guedes, Arquitecto com uma obra fabulosa.

Sempre houve Arquitectura Portuguesa de projecção mundial, muito antes de Siza ou de Souto de Moura. E Pancho Guedes não está sozinho, pelo contrário.

Uma vez mais, boa iniciativa da Fundação Serra Henriques e da Ordem dos Arquitectos.
