Those piercing “S” sounds in your vocal mix? That’s sibilance. It happens when condenser mics, EQ boosts, and compression exaggerate the high frequencies. The fix is simple: De-Essing. A de-esser compresses only the sibilant range (2–10kHz), leaving the rest of the vocal untouched. Software plugins today are way more precise than old-school hardware, giving you total control.

In this series, I’ll break down each one so your tracks can finally compete with the pros. Don’t sleep on this. 🚀
