DSF Media DSF Media is a video production company, focusing on documentary movies and commercials. A young director of photography based in Bucharest, Romania.

I approach every project with a fresh mindset, being always open to new ideas. I don’t like to limit myself so I worked in multiple positions on many different projects and from every production I had great takeaways. I’m currently studying Cinematography at UNATC and keep going in my career as a freelance filmmaker.

A director of photography turns a script and a vision into actual images. Every frame you see in a film passed through their head first. Sometimes they’re not even the one holding the camera. What they do is... the thinking behind the look.

This is the part of filmmaking most people never see.

Ever wondered how a camera can get sooo close through an object? This is the lens that does it, and we used it for this video for .lucidda.lab

The probe lens is one of those tools most people don’t know exists. Extremely wide, and able to get right up against a subject or slip into spaces no normal lens could reach. But there’s a catch when working with it. I explained it all in the video.

The problem is almost never the camera itself. It’s that nobody wants to feel embarassed in front of an audience.

Hotel staff, doctors, CEOs, people who could talk about their work for an hour over coffee, and then go blank the second a camera appears. These three things fix most of it.

Cook Music Fest es el festival más grande de la isla, y yo estaba allí para grabar el show. En directo no hay segunda toma: hay que leer el sitio rápido y llegar al punto exacto para no perder nada.
