We warmly welcome applications from qualified scholars and practitioners interested in joining the international peer-review network of Ars æqui.

Peer reviewers are a crucial, yet often overlooked, element of academic publishing. Through their continued service, they help maintain the quality and integrity of the works we publish. Unfortunately, their contribution remains insufficiently visible within formal systems of academic recognition.

Our team is committed to ensuring appropriate acknowledgement in an annual list published on the journal’s website, priority consideration for future editorial roles, as well as certificates or letters of recognition issued upon request.

We are particularly seeking scholars with expertise in:
⚖️ Labour Law
🌍 Public International Law
🧭 Private International Law
🔐 Data Protection and Privacy
🚔 Criminal Law
💻 Law and Technology
💡 Intellectual Property Law
🏢 Business Law

Requirements:
🎓 PhD (or equivalent qualification) in Law
🌐 Full command of academic English
🗣️ Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an advantage

🗺️ We particularly encourage applications from scholars affiliated with higher education or research institutions outside Romania.

Reviewer participation is continuous, and invitations to assess submissions are issued in line with subject matter and expertise matching.

📩 To apply, please send your CV to [email protected] and CC [email protected]

The Minimum Wage and Transparent Wages in the EU: Means to Address Multidimensional Inequalities

by Claudia Ana Moarcăș | Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, Romania

This study examines the minimum wage and wage transparency as legal tools to address multidimensional inequalities, including income disparities, the gender pay gap, and in-work poverty. By analysing EU directives and national implementations, it highlights both the potential and the limits of current regulatory approaches in advancing social justice and labour market fairness.

The Preliminary Ruling Procedure: A Cornerstone of Intergovernmental Coordination in the European Union
Rachid Al Bitar & Noémia Bessa Vilela

This article examines how the EU’s preliminary ruling procedure under Article 267 TFEU has become the engine of judicial cooperation, transforming technical legal queries into a constitutional dialogue between national courts and the CJEU. Through landmark case law, the authors show how this mechanism has shaped doctrines like direct effect and supremacy, ensuring uniform EU law across all Member States. A must-read for scholars of EU constitutionalism and multilevel governance.
