G.R.M .. Cea mai veche parte a cetatii. Cartier medieval locuit in principal de mestesugari. Multe strazi din aceasta zona poarta nume de bresle.

Aici se afla si cea mai veche piata a Sibiului,Piata Dragoner,aparuta la intersectia a 2 vechi drumuri comerciale(N-S,E-V)in secolul XIII.Aceasta parte a cetatii a fost fortificata abia incepand cu secolul XV,fortificatia fiind intarita cu bastioane si turnuri noi in sec XVI.
