"Preasfințitul Părinte Episcop Macarie Drăgoi al Episcopiei Europei de Nord a săvârșit Dumnezeiasca Liturghie Arhierească în Paraclisul Centrului Episcopal din Stockholm, astăzi, 13 ianuarie 2024, și l-a botezat pe tânărul irlandez Paul-Hristofor. În aceste zile, ierarhul a binecuvântat cu Aghiazma Mare, casele credincioșilor, Ambasada României și Institutul Cultural Român din Stockholm și a participat la sediul ICR la un eveniment cultural prezentat de tenorul suedez Kristofer Lunden (convertit la Ortodoxie), împreună cu soția sa soprana Laura Tătulescu și pianistul Iosif-Ioan Prunner."

Raseborg Castle (Raseborgs slott in Swedish, Raaseporin linna in Finnish) is a medieval fortress located in Raseborg, 92 kilometers (57 miles) west of Helsinki. It served as an active castle from the 1370s to 1553 and its primary objective was to safeguard Sweden's concerns in southern Finland from the Hanseatic city of Tallinn.

Today, the castle's ruins are accessible to the public during the summer season. The Raseborg Summer Theatre (Raseborgs Sommarteater) is located in the same area with the seating for the audience partially overlooking the castle.

Gävle's world-famous Christmas Goat has survived the festive season, but only just. More commonly known for being burnt down by arsonists, this year the goat faced a new threat... birds, hungry for the seeds hidden in the goat's straw. While much of the straw ended up on the ground, the goat did make it into the New Year.
What remains of the goat, mainly the wooden construction under what was the straw coat, is now being disassembled.
