San Antonio’s hip-hop scene lost a powerful voice with the tragic passing of Christopher Polk, aka Chris P . A rising star on the verge of something great, his raw talent, realness, and undeniable presence made him one of the most promising artists to emerge from the city.

Through his music, he spoke his truth, reflecting the realities of his world with passion and authenticity. Though his life was tragically cut short, his impact on the culture lives on.

On April 12, 2025, we will honor Chris P’s legacy by unveiling a dedicated art piece in his name—a tribute to his influence, talent, and the history we continue to capture. His murder remains unsolved, and his family is still searching for answers. If anyone has any information regarding his passing, please reach out to his family and help bring justice for Chris P.

Currently pursuing a degree in architecture, BLYSS is on a mission to push creative boundaries, blending his digital artistry with 3D physical installations that transform his visions into tangible experiences. His talent, dedication, and forward-thinking approach make him one of the most exciting young artists to watch.

His journey to success started with a pivotal collaboration with San Antonio’s own and from there, his talent and dedication took him to new heights.

Now, with a portfolio that includes major projects for Yungeen Ace, Hotboii, Roddy Ricch, Quando Rondo, Lil Baby, and even Post Malone, Ace has carved his own lane in the industry. His videos consistently rack up millions of views, setting a new standard with a signature visual style that brings music to life through his artistic eye.

Coming out of the puro west side of San Antonio and freshly new onto the art community scene, will be bringing his talents to the second edition of the Art&HipHop event series.

A full-time masonry contractor and now full-time artist, Mikey has sent waves through the culture for his impactful murals that have gained a lot of attention; some being the award-winning mural of the year in 2024 that he co-designed and more importantly the first ever mural dedicated to the fallen kids of the Uvalde ISD shooting.

His talents are taking off. Come and be apart of the unveiling of his amazing custom art pieces as they are added to our collection and effort to capture the history of our culture.

Spending more than half of his life supporting, mixing and playing various artist from and around San Antonio, has proven to be a true DJ for the culture!

From releasing multiple hiphop mixtapes to making sure performing artist sound and look good on the big stage, Hypnotik has done more for the community than your average DJ. Along his journey he has helped cultivate a team of DJs who dedicate themselves to helping local hiphop artist gain attention and listens.

Whether it is through an internet radio station or local events, Hypnotik the DJ has always given us his passion for the San Antonio culture and because of that we are pleased to be creating a custom art piece in his honor and adding to our collection and effort to capture the history of our culture.

Join us as we bring a spotlight to his work and celebrate the vibrant music and art culture our city has to offer.
