A miraculous story of a pilgrim going for Hajj on May 25, 2025.
A Libyan pilgrim’s journey was disrupted at Sebha Airport in southern Libya due to a problem with his passport. The plane took off, leaving the pilgrim behind in the airport lounge.
The pilgrim, named Amer Al-Mahdi, insisted on staying at the airport and refused to leave, as he was determined to perform Hajj.
After takeoff, the plane experienced a technical malfunction in the air and had to return to the airport for repairs.
Amer requested the captain to open the plane door and let him board, but the captain refused and took off again, leaving the man behind in the lounge.
The airport staff tried to convince Amer to go home, saying, “This is not your destiny.” But he insisted on staying and said, “The plane will return.”
Guess what? The plane returned again, due to another technical issue. This time, the captain allowed Amer to board.
Watch the video:
“Blessings upon you, Sheikh Amer! Blessings! Blessings! Take us with you! Pray for us, pray for us, O Sheikh!”
Libyans reacted emotionally to Amer Al-Mahdi’s story. One user commented:
“Is it possible they stress you out mentally like this just to travel? The captain really said, ‘I’m not opening the stairs.’ We Libyans always complicate things!”
Another person named “Smile” said:
“When a plane returns twice just for you, this is not normal. There must be something between you and Allah that made Him answer your prayer.”
Someone named Mohamed added:
“The problem originated from the airport system, which couldn’t facilitate the travel of pilgrims.”
Another person wrote:
“When good intentions come before actions, and when you trust in Allah and rely on Him, Allah performs miracles and puts things in your favor.”
Eventually, Amer did arrive in the holy land, dressed in Ihram. He appeared in a video from there and explained what happened:
“Don’t be upset. What is meant for you will come. I told them, ‘I’m not leaving the airport.’ The plane returned once, then again. I told them, ‘I’m boarding this time whether you like it or not.’”
And so he finally made it to the House of Allah and said:
“Alhamdulillah, O Lord!”
