Sharing some very early-stage WIP renders for my ongoing spec ad for Lalique Encre Noire A L'Extreme!

First slide is doing some material tests as well as testing out the procedural particle vortex that I made using Geonodes in Blender, then rendered it in EEVEE for Shot 1 of the animation shot list.

The whole plan is to ship a 5-second animated spec ad + 3 high-quality stills, but this time, pushing the difficulty level in ex*****on just a bit more from all my previous projects haha.

Spent the past few days melting my brain as I try to learn Geometry Nodes, but it's been super super exciting learning that I can apparently make something Houdini-like in Blender, in time, so it's been really fun learning.

Step-by-step, we're getting there.✊️

2025 has tested my limits in ways I never expected, both personally and creatively. After overcoming personal challenges and significant setbacks, I've found myself continually striving to move forward. To have agency and find ways to solve my own problems, despite circumstances.

Today, I'm proud to share the culmination of hours of dedication, trial and error, and newfound mental resilience: my latest Spec Ad project, "Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s OUD Satin Mood." Inspired by the perfume’s evocative descriptions, a "royal interpretation of Oud" and "Oud in majesty". This project has pushed me creatively, technically, and emotionally.

From deep research into the psychology of luxury consumers to meticulously refining materials, shading, textures, and finally remembering to actually post-process my renders in Lightroom, every phase taught me invaluable lessons about patience, persistence, and attention to detail.

Though far from perfect, this project represents substantial personal growth and professional improvement in my journey as a freelance 3D Artist.

Work in Progress | Testing Logo Engraving Techniques

One of the trickiest parts of working with high-end product assets like this is making sure the logo looks just as precise and premium on curved surfaces as it does on flat ones.

I spent the past few days R&D-ing two separate approaches:

1. Flat surface engraving for the top face
2. Curved surface engraving for the lipstick’s cylindrical body

What starts out looking clean on a plane mesh often reveals subtle shading artifacts once applied to curvature, especially with booleans, normals, and bevel intersections in Blender. These renders are part of my exploration to solve that and achieve a seamless, realistic look under dramatic lighting.

Still refining the curved mesh and final boolean cleanup, but I wanted to document this part of the process and share the evolution.🔍🧙‍♂️

From luminous coral to diffused mauve and icy pastel lilac, each shade is reimagined in 3D to celebrate the effortless beauty of Dior’s signature glow.

This is a spec ad—a personal creative interpretation inspired by Dior’s modern vision of luxury beauty.

The PARKER IM Rollerball Pen.✒️

Project Info:
This is one of the two pens that I bought a few years ago from , and is something that I've been really enjoying writing with.

It's come a long way throughout these past few years. From journaling, to planning things, or even just jotting down random thoughts, it's definitely been an enjoyable experience writing with this pen.

The last few slides contain the behind the scenes photos of the project, where the first step was shooting reference photos of the pen for easier modeling in Blender.

Overall, this spec project was completed within 48 hours. The first 24 hours involving modelling the pen in the 3D software, while the next 24 hours focused on texturing and lighting setup for final rendering of the product and scene.

Been binging a bunch of stuff on YouTube because of the incredible work he's doing since I've been trying to figure out how to properly light up my glass models, and I finally feel like I'm one step closer to where I want this project to go.🙏

Also took lighting setup inspiration from after seeing their IG story a few hours ago and decided to try it out!

Have been struggling with lighting my model a lot these past 2 days, and only managed to figure it out now, thanks to these two amazing artists🙏

Bunch of obstacles faced along the way trying to learn this new skill of product 3D design since I started around 2 or so months ago, but man, it's been loads of fun! 🖌

I was 18 when I was clinically diagnosed with PTSD. The many months that then came after were one of the most difficult and pivotal moments of my life.

I’m providing this context because I know that this is going to hit home for someone out there. Everyone has a story. This is mine. So, I’m writing this in hopes that this can change someone’s life.

I was suffering a lot one night when it became clear that I had two decisions at that moment: Either accept that my life was just going to be hell forever OR to try to survive, move forward, and rise above my circumstances.

I wanted to survive. Despite how tired I was of having to relive hell every single day. I was even more tired of having to feel like I was being chained around the neck by this “sickness” of mine as well of my circumstances.

I was extremely tired and angry at myself for feeling like I had no power against myself. So, I desperately wanted to get out.

I desperately wanted to become someone different. Someone not held by my circumstances.

And so I did…

After feeling like a failure over and over and over again.

Then suddenly, before I even realized it, I’ve reached heights far beyond what I had previously thought I could achieve.

That was the beginning of it all.

Having since turned 21 just a month ago, I’ve been moving forward on an entirely different direction to where I was headed a few years back.

Paving my own path. Fulfilling a vision. Crafting my story.

Dropped out of university a few months back to help others build lives they can be proud of while at the same time fulfilling my own personal vision and plans.

There’s a price to pay for everything, and I knew that very well the moment I decided to walk my own path.

But I knew as well—with full conviction and belief in myself and what I have to do— that if this is the price I have to pay to achieve what I have to achieve, then I’m willing to pay the price over and over again.

Final Words:
You too can pave your own path. You too can craft your own story. I believe in you.

And as I document my journey, I hope I can take you along with me on this whole thing together. Lots of love.🤍✊️
