Pope Francis, kritikal ang kondisyon

Rome - Kritikal ang kondisyon ni Pope Francis noong Sabado umaga, kung saan nakaranas siya ng matinding hika o ‘asthma-like respiratory crisis’.
Ayon sa The Holy See Press Office, isinagawa ang blood transfusions bagamat nanatili si Pope sa armchair sa kabila ng karagdagang sakit na nararamdaman.

“The condition of the Holy Father continues to be critical. Therefore, as explained yesterday, the Pope is not out of danger. This morning, Pope Francis experienced an asthma-like respiratory crisis of prolonged intensity, which required the administration of high-flow oxygen. Today's blood tests also revealed thrombocytopenia, associated with anemia, which required the administration of blood transfusions,” ayon sa The Holy See Press Office ng Vatican.

Nananatiling alerto si Pope subalit hindi naging komportable ang pakiramdam nya ng Sabado.

Ayon sa medical team ni Pope Francis noong Biyernes, hindi pa tuluyang ligtas si Pope Francis sa pagkakasakit at inaasahang magtatagal pa Gemelli Hospital sa Rome ng isa pang linggo.

Matatandaang ipinasok sa Agostino Gemelli Hospital si Pope Francis noong Biyernes, Pebrero 14, kung saan iniulat na may bronchitis.

Lumabas din laboratory test na may double pneumonia si Pope at binago ang kanyang pharmacological therapy. Nauna pang naiulat ang respiratory tract infection.

Si Pope Francis, 88 taong gulang, ay isang isang Argentinian at nagsimula noong 2013 bilang lider ng simbahang Katolika. Via| Maricel Burgonio, TFCN Italy
