From your point of view, how do you think technological development will be in the future (in 10 to 15 years)?
---
If we look at the current trajectory of technology, most indicators suggest that the next ten to fifteen years will represent a “quantum leap” rather than just a gradual evolution. This is because several accelerating technologies will converge and influence each other.
I can divide this vision into several key areas:
---
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and “General Intelligence”
Within 10–15 years, we will see AI systems approaching human-level Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), capable of self-learning and adapting across diverse fields, not just performing specific tasks.
AI could become a “personal digital advisor” who knows everything about you and assists with your daily and professional decisions.
AI is likely to be integrated into all devices and software—from your car to your home, and even kitchen appliances.
---
2. Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs)
Companies like Neuralink are currently working on directly linking the brain to computers. In a decade and a half, this technology is expected to become widespread—not only for treating diseases but also for enhancing cognitive abilities.
You might be able to “download” a new skill or language as in science fiction, or control devices merely by thinking.
---
3. Energy Revolution
Solar power and batteries will achieve remarkable efficiency, alongside the spread of small nuclear reactors and fusion energy if research succeeds.
The widespread adoption of clean energy will transform industry and transportation, making flying cars and electric aircraft more practical.
---
4. Genetic and Personalized Medicine
Advances in gene editing (CRISPR) will enable the treatment of many genetic diseases and even cancer on a personalized basis.
Human life expectancy may increase significantly due to early detection and precise treatments.
---
5. Extended Reality (AR / VR / MR)
Augmented and mixed reality will become part of our daily lives. You won’t rely on your phone as much but on smart glasses or lenses that display information directly before your eyes.
Meetings, education, and even tourism may take place in hyper-realistic virtual environments.
---
6. Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Robots will be widespread in homes, hospitals, factories, and even agriculture.
Entire cities may be managed by intelligent systems controlling traffic, energy, security, and emergency services.
---
7. Evolution of the Internet and Digital Infrastructure
The internet will become more decentralized and secure thanks to blockchain and emerging technologies.
Connection speeds will allow real-time streaming of 3D videos or even “remote sensory presence.”
---
Summary
Technology will move toward merging humans and machines, increasing autonomy and intelligence in systems, and elevating much of our mental and physical capabilities to a higher level.
However, there will also be massive ethical and legal challenges: privacy, job displacement, and AI security.
