Simple Definition:
βLine of fire is any situation where a worker can be struck, caught, or injured by moving objects, equipment, or energy.β
Examples:
Standing in front of a moving vehicle π
Working under a suspended load (crane lifting material)

Hand placed between moving parts (pinch point)
Types of Line of Fire Hazards:
Struck-by hazards β object hits you
Caught-in/between hazards β body trapped between objects
Released energy β pressure, tension, or stored energy suddenly released
How to Stay Safe:
Always stay out of the direct path of moving equipment
Maintain safe distance from loads and machinery
Use proper PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes)
Follow safety procedures and awareness
