Kapasia stands tall in the glory of its proud son, Tajuddin Ahmad,The comrade✊
Just as a son cannot deny his father, attempting to erase the names of the leaders especially those who led the final nine month long war of liberation against the Pakistani oppressors from 1947 to 1971 by issuing or withholding certificates is as meaningless as accepting or denying the identity of an illegitimate child. Just as you cannot erase Shamsur Rahman's iconic poem 'Asader Shirt', written for the young martyr of Maulana Bhasani’s protest, you cannot deny the rightful leadership that led Awami League to victory in the 1970 election and brought about our hard earned independence through immense sacrifice. History cannot be erased,Mohazon. After independence, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman emerged as the undisputed, universal symbol of hope and aspiration for this newborn nation. And from that position, my questions arise: Why was a national government not formed? Why, as Sirajul Alam Khan asked, was Bangabandhu unable to do so? Why was Tajuddin Ahmad removed from the cabinet? Why was BAKSAL formed? Why was Sheikh Mujib assassinated? Whose political ambitions were fulfilled through the brutal murder of him and his entire family? These are questions yes, only questions. Ha ha ha… just questions. The leaders who guided us to freedom Maulana Bhasani, Sheikh Mujib, Tajuddin Ahmad cannot be denied. Just like a tea-seller’s son who becomes Prime Minister cannot deny his father's identity, or a cobbler’s son who becomes President of the United States cannot erase his roots, we cannot deny the leadership that gave us this nation. You cannot glorify Tajuddin by belittling Bangabandhu, nor can you uplift one by disrespecting the other. That’s not how history works. Tajuddin, Mujib, and the leaders of our Liberation War will forever stand tall, synonymous with the very essence of Bangladesh and its independence. Their legacy will echo in every corner of this land. And those who follow the path of traitors the disciples of the killer Mostaq shall remain forever cursed and despised.
ছেলে যেমন বাবাকে অস্বীকার করতে পারে না, ঠিক তেমনই ১৯৪৭ থেকে ১৯৭১ পর্যন্ত পাকিস্তানি হানাদারদের জুলুম-নির্যাতনের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াইয়ের নেতৃত্ব দেওয়া নেতাদের বিশেষ করে ৯ মাসের চূড়ান্ত রণসংগ্রামের নেতৃত্বদানকারী নেতাদের সার্টিফিকেট দিয়ে অথবা না দিয়ে ইতিহাস থেকে তাদের নাম মুছে ফেলার চেষ্টা ঠিক তেমনই অনর্থক, যেমন অনর্থক জারজ সন্তানের পরিচয় দেওয়া বা না দেওয়া উপর।
আপনি যেমন মওলানা ভাসানীর সহিংস আন্দোলনে নিহত শামসুর রহমানের ‘আসাদের শার্ট’ কবিতা মুছে ফেলতে পারবেন না, তেমনি পারবেন না আওয়ামী লীগের ১৯৭০ সালের নির্বাচনে জয়লাভ করে আত্মসংঘামের মাধ্যমে অর্জিত এই স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের প্রকৃত নেতৃত্বকে অস্বীকার করতে বা তাদের নাম ইতিহাস থেকে মুছে ফেলতে।ইতিহাস মুছে দেয়া যায় না মহাজন।
স্বাধীনতার পর বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান যেভাবে অবিসংবাদিত, সর্বজনীন এক নেতা হয়ে উঠেছিলেন একফালি আশা-আকাঙ্ক্ষার প্রতীক হয়ে ঠিক সেই জায়গা থেকেই আমার প্রশ্ন-
জাতীয় সরকার গঠন সম্ভব হলো না কেন? সিরাজুল আলম খানের ভাষ্যমতে, বঙ্গবন্ধু কেন জাতীয় সরকার করতে পারলেন না?কেন তাকে তাজউদ্দীন আহমদকে মন্ত্রিসভা থেকে বাদ দিতে হলো?কেন বাকশাল গঠন করা হলো? কেন শেখ মুজিবকে হত্যা করা হলো? তার পরিবারসহ তাকে হত্যার মধ্য দিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগের কোন কোন নেতার রাজনৈতিক উচ্চাকাঙ্ক্ষা বাস্তবায়িত হয়েছিল?এসব কেবলই প্রশ্ন... হাহাহা... কেবলই প্রশ্ন।
ভাসানী, শেখ মুজিব, তাজউদ্দীন আহমদসহ জাতীয় নেতারা যাদের নেতৃত্বে আমরা একটি স্বাধীন দেশ পেয়েছি স্বাধীনতা পেয়েছি,যেমন চা ওয়াল বাবার সন্তান হয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী হয়ে যাওয়ার পর সে তার বাবার পরিচয় অস্বীকার করতেপারে না,মুচির ছেলে আমেরিকার প্রেসিডেন্ট হয়ে তার বাবার কথা অস্বীকার করতে পারে না,তেমনই এই নেতৃত্ব কে অস্বীকার করা যাবে না। বঙ্গবন্ধুকে অসম্মান করে তাজউদ্দীন আহমদকে বড় করা যায় না, আবার তাজউদ্দীন আহমদকে বড় করে অন্য কাউকে ছোট করা যায় না। যাবেও না।
তাজউদ্দীন, মুজিব,মুক্তিযুদ্ধের নেতৃত্ব দেয়া নেতারা বাংলাদেশ ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সঙ্গে সমার্থক হয়ে গৌরবে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকবে।দাঁড়িয়ে থাকবে বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসের কণায় কণায়। আর রাস্কেলদের উত্তরসূরিরা, খুনি মোশতাকের শিষ্যরা, চিরকাল ঘৃণিতই থেকে যাবে।
