DIVINE MESSAGE
The iron gate of a maximum-security prison slammed shut behind Lino, a man condemned to death for a crime he had committed. As he awaited the warden who would es**rt him to his ex*****on, the door of his cell suddenly opened. A stranger wearing the same prison uniform stepped inside carrying civilian clothes. With calm determination, he told Lino to change into them and walk free while he took Lino's place and faced the death sentence instead.
Shocked, Lino asked what would happen to the stranger. “Everything that is yours becomes mine,” the man replied. Realizing the sacrifice being offered, Lino put on the civilian clothes and walked past the guards to freedom. As he stepped into the morning light, he understood that the stranger had not merely given him another chance at life—he had exchanged his own life so that Lino could live.
