📢 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) – Poultry Production Strengthening Programme (PPSP) 2026

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MALD) invites eligible farmers, agribusinesses, and agricultural cooperatives to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for support under the Poultry Production Strengthening Programme (PPSP).

The poultry subsector is vital for national food security, nutrition, employment, and rural livelihoods. Domestic producers currently face challenges such as high feed costs, limited supply of day-old chicks (DOCs), inadequate veterinary and extension services, weak market linkages, and competition from imported poultry products. These constraints impact productivity, raise consumer prices, and increase reliance on imports.

The PPSP aims to provide support that strengthens market access, promotes sustainable production, and improves value chain development for commercially viable agricultural enterprises.

📌Eligible Project Areas

Applicants may seek support for projects in the following areas:

➡️MALD EOI-001: Establishment of a 19,000-egg capacity hatchery – Honiara/Guadalcanal

➡️MALD EOI-002: Establishment of a 10,000-egg capacity hatchery – Honiara/Guadalcanal

➡️MALD EOI-003: Establishment of a 5,000-bird poultry parent flock farm – Honiara/Guadalcanal

➡️MALD EOI-004: Establishment of combined 100 ha maize/corn production (minimum 1 ha per production) – Guadalcanal

➡️MALD EOI-005: Establishment of a commercial feed mill – Honiara/Guadalcanal

➡️MALD EOI-006: Establishment of a 1,000-broiler bird farm – Honiara/Guadalcanal

➡️MALD EOI-007: Establishment of a 1,000-layer bird farm – Honiara/Guadalcanal
