Once forced to miss school due to unsafe and inadequate sanitation, girls at Honiara Senior High School can now attend classes with dignity following the completion of a new WASH facility.

The upgraded toilets, handwashing stations and menstrual hygiene facilities are already reducing absenteeism and restoring confidence among more than 1,300 students.

Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele has officiated the groundbreaking for the rehabilitation of Berth 1 at Honiara International Port, marking a major step in strengthening Solomon Islands’ maritime gateway.
