This was a really fun exhibition on all things fantasy at the Natural History Museum. It focused on the discovery of a new titansaur found a few years ago in Patagonia. The exhibition had plenty of interactive information points and games/ activities to explain the life, nature and environment of the titanosaur as well as showcase the truly immense fossil skeleton of the Titanosaur. Was definitely a fun exhibition I’m glad to have caught before it closed!

Overall summary:
There is no better pantomime than at the palladium at Christmas. The set is fantastic, vividly colourful and larger than life! The use of pyrotechnics was also brilliant in the Timbuktu Tumblers who had me on the edge of my seat with their incredible act! The panto here is more variety show than anything with much plot, which the show itself pokes fun of multiple times. The cast was fabulous and it was fun to see Jennifer Saunders in her panto debut as a wickedly hilarious Hook. Rob Madge was amazing as Tink and Julian Clary had the audience in stitches with his witty ad libbing. It’s always my tradition to start off my January with the panto here and it never fails to bring joy to my new year.

“Although a very literal exploration of relationships, it was the scenes where the characters were fully clothed that gave the greatest moments of vulnerability and intimacy in the show.”

This is my second time visiting the mysterious town of Jonaco and it gets even better each time! The actors are incredible at bringing their characters to life and always show 110%. The set is huge and filled with amazing details! They also changed it enough from my summer visit that I felt like I was exploring it for the first time again and finding out so many secrets on the trail. I managed to complete 3 trails this time and I definitely hope to return to achieve the rest before it changes again. If you want a fabulous immersive experience then I would suggest this at the top of the list!

“This play is running for only 2 short weeks until 3rd February 2024. It’s short run coincides with Holocaust Memorial Day (27th January). If you want to understand more about hope, the resilience of love, how to retain your humanity in the face of evil and the fragile fight of hope against truly dark times then this play is for you.”

The Little Big Things Musical Album

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a beautiful musical I’ve seen 3 times and I have been waiting desperately for the album to dance to at home. The songs inclusion of dialogue makes you feel like you’re back in the theatre and gives an extra emotional right hook in the more tragic moments of the show. The vocals are strong, vibrant and really showcase all of the actors talent, special shout out to Ed Fraser and Johnny Aimes who are so dynamic and heartfelt in their singing. Although all based in the pop genre the songs will play your emotions like a fiddle. One to seventeen by Liz Hately beautifully captures the pain of the accident so well and Uma Vida captures the vibe of a night out in contrast. So far I have listened to this album 9 times on repeat te and I definitely think the world will remember both this album and to cherish all the little big things in my life!
