Right-o, ladies and gents! Today, we’re whipping up a jolly good rice pudding that’ll tickle your taste buds. Let’s get cracking!
Ingredients:
• Half a cuppa rice
• Two full cups of water
• A pinch and a half of salt (about a quarter of a teaspoon, if you’re posh about it)
• Four cups of lovely, creamy milk
• Half a cup of sugar (or more if you fancy a bit of a sugar rush)
• Two tablespoons of cornflour, dissolved in a quarter cup of milk
• A splash of vanilla essence
• And if you’re feeling particularly indulgent, a dollop of clotted cream
Instructions:
1. First up, rinse that rice under some cold water. No one wants a stodgy pud!
2. Pop the rice into a saucepan with the water and salt. Bring it to a nice, rolling boil, then simmer until the water’s all soaked up and the rice is tender.
3. Next, add the milk and sugar to the rice. Give it a good stir and let it bubble away gently until it starts to thicken. Keep an eye on it – we don’t want any sticky situations!
4. Now, mix your cornflour and milk together, then pour it into the rice mixture. Keep stirring until it thickens up to your liking.
5. A splash of vanilla essence goes in now. If you’re adding clotted cream, pop that in too for an extra creamy dream.
6. Serve it up warm or chilled, and enjoy every spoonful of this scrumptious rice pudding!
And there you have it! A delightful British rice pud that’s sure to impress. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and let us know in the comments how your pudding turned out! Cheerio!
