Distance plays a crucial role in Machine Learning — from clustering and classification to recommender systems. Here's your go-to guide for the most commonly used distance metrics:

🔹 1. Euclidean Distance
📐 Formula: √(Σ(xᵢ − yᵢ)²)
✅ Used in: KNN, K-Means, SVM
🧠 Tip: Normalize your data — it’s sensitive to scale.

🔹 2. Manhattan Distance
