The Abiliang Youth Students have expressed concerns regarding their perceived neglect in the selection process for the Transference of Scholarship students.

Hon. Minister,
Greetings to you, and thank you for your efforts in supporting higher education and scholarship opportunities for South Sudanese students.
We are writing on behalf of Jieng Abialang, through Abialang Kak, regarding the recently announced scholarships to the Kingdom of Morocco.
We appreciate the Ministry for providing these opportunities to South Sudanese students. However, we would like to appeal to your office to review the scholarship allocation and final list once again.
We understand that scholarships are allocated through counties and are not based on tribal affiliation. Our concern, therefore, is not about requesting special treatment for Abialang students. Our concern is about the representation of Renk County and its indigenous communities in the scholarship opportunities.
From the list that has been circulated, Renk County appears to have received only one scholarship slot, while some other counties have received several slots. More importantly, we have not seen a son or daughter of Jieng Abialang—the indigenous community of Renk County—among the beneficiaries of this scholarship, or in previous scholarship opportunities of this kind. To our knowledge, this has not happened before.
This raises a genuine concern within our community and is why we are asking the Ministry to take another look at the allocation and selection.
We are not asking for scholarships to be allocated according to tribes, nor are we asking for opportunities to be taken away from students from other communities. We are simply asking the Ministry to review the representation of Renk County and the selection process once again, particularly given the continued absence of students from its indigenous Abialang community.
We believe that a review would help ensure that no qualified student or county has been unintentionally overlooked and would strengthen confidence in the fairness and transparency of the scholarship programme.
Hon. Minister, we hope you will consider this appeal and look into the matter once again.

الموضوع: نداء لمراجعة توزيع المنح الدراسية المقدمة إلى المملكة المغربية
وزير التعليم العالي،
تحية طيبة لكم، ونقدّر جهودكم في دعم التعليم العالي وتوفير فرص المنح الدراسية للطلاب من جنوب السودان.
نتوجه إليكم باسم جيينق أبيلانق، من خلال أبيلانق كاك، بشأن المنح الدراسية التي تم الإعلان عنها مؤخراً للدراسة في المملكة المغربية.
نقدّر جهود الوزارة في توفير هذه الفرص للطلاب من مختلف أنحاء جنوب السودان، ولكننا نود أن نناشد وزارتكم مراجعة توزيع المنح والقائمة النهائية للطلاب مرة أخرى.
نحن ندرك أن المنح يتم توزيعها عبر المقاطعات وفق الترتيبات المعتمدة، وأنها ليست مبنية على الانتماء القبلي. ولذلك، فإن مطلبنا ليس الحصول على معاملة خاصة لطلاب أبيلانق، وإنما يتعلق بتمثيل مقاطعة الرنك ومجتمعاتها الأصلية في فرص المنح الدراسية.
وفقاً للقائمة التي تم تداولها، يبدو أن مقاطعة الرنك حصلت على مقعد واحد فقط، في حين حصلت بعض المقاطعات الأخرى على عدة مقاعد.
والأهم من ذلك، أننا لم نرَ أي ابن أو ابنة من جيينق أبيلانق، وهم من السكان الأصليين لمقاطعة الرنك، ضمن المستفيدين من هذه المنحة، كما لم نرَ طالباً من جيينق أبيلانق يستفيد من مثل هذه المنح في السابق. وبحسب علمنا، فإن ذلك لم يحدث من قبل.
وهذا الأمر أثار قلقاً حقيقياً داخل مجتمعنا، ولذلك نطلب من الوزارة إعادة النظر في عملية التوزيع والاختيار.
نحن لا نطالب بتوزيع المنح على أساس القبيلة، ولا نطالب بحرمان طلاب من مجتمعات أو مقاطعات أخرى من فرصهم. وإنما نطلب من الوزارة مراجعة تمثيل مقاطعة الرنك وعملية الاختيار مرة أخرى، خصوصاً في ظل غياب طلاب من مجتمع أبيلانق، وهو أحد المجتمعات الأصلية في الرنك، عن هذه الفرص وعن المنح السابقة بحسب ما نعلم.
نعتقد أن إعادة المراجعة ستساعد في التأكد من عدم إغفال أي طالب مؤهل أو أي مقاطعة بشكل غير مقصود، كما ستعزز الثقة في عدالة وشفافية برنامج المنح الدراسية.
نأمل أن تنظروا في هذا النداء وأن تتم مراجعة الأمر مرة أخرى.
