Last January, we returned to the island of Tenerife for its through-hike, which included the grueling ascent of Mt. Teide. It was a beautiful journey with some unexpected adventures and strange moments!

Finland's northwest, bordering Sweden and Norway, is occupied by the vast Käsivarsi Wilderness Area. The autumn "ruska" season is arguably the best time of the year to hike across this remote land.

Last autumn, we headed south to the mountainous border areas between Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. Peaks of the Balkans trail is a proper adventure with Balkan moods all around!

It has been already ten years ago when we pursued a set of day trips on the island of Corsica. Nicknamed as "Pearl of the Mediterranean" by many, the island offers literally endless hiking possibilities in its inviting coastal areas with turquoise waters and sandy beaches, as well as in its striking mountainous interior.

In this snowless winter, it may be refreshing to recall some proper wintery snowy days spent on the trail! It was still mid Sep couple of years ago when we got this surprising snowy present, rambling along Swedish-Norwegian border close to Abisko national park ❄️ ⛄️ 🥶 ☀️ 🍁❄

Though getting more and more popular, the Peaks of the Balkans trail remains off the beaten path and offers some sensational solitary hiking for true adventurous souls. We only met two other hikers on our first section between Liqenat 🇽🇰 and Babino Polje 🇲🇪. 🍂

It’s fair to say that the first two days of our south-to-north Moskenesøya crossing, Lofoten between the remote Buvågen bay and Ågvatnet lake were both beautiful and demanding. Changeable weather, somewhat difficult terrain, two rope-assisted sections and a fair amount of ascent/descent made a really interesting overture to our week-long hiking adventure in this beautiful Norwegian 🇳🇴 archipelago. 🇳🇴 ❤️

Four consecutive days of sunny ☀️ weather are almost unheard of on South Coast Track, Tasmania since the Antarctic is quite close and rain 🌧 and strong winds 🌬 are far much usual pattern. Nevertheless, we got some real luck here on this unspoiled adventurous coastal rambling… ⛺️ a true Tasmanian adventure!

The GR221 Drystone Route traverses Mallorca's 🇪🇸 Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, following rock paths and mule tracks between picturesque villages and small towns. Last October, we really enjoyed the trail in a true gentlemen "hike and dine" way 😊.

Certainly the hottest☀️🌞 trail I’ve ever tackled, the 4-days Dana2Petra segment of the weeks-long Jordan 🇯🇴 trail was both magical and exhausting. With water 💦 being extremely scarce, I recall to carry 10l for 2 people which was still not enough during the longest 3rd day… a true desert 🏜🌵 adventure! 🇯🇴

Going to Tasmania has been uneasy even before covid times; 3-4 flights are needed to land in Hobart. During the last visit, the iconic yet infamously muddy South Coast Track was the adventurous highlight of our trip. Ocean, beaches, rainforests, plains… yet it was the southern hemisphere vegetation that made this endeavour completely different compared to what we have seen in the deep north… 🍏 🇦🇺 ✅ 💛 ⛺️
