Way too catchy not to be on the list! Wet Man from Sheffield continues to release great music and this a electro-pop-punk track that has it all; 50% outsider hero, 50% dance and 50% hooligan.

Stockholm Space Station - For You Too

I stumbled upon this and it took just one listen before I caught myself going around humming on this track all day long. One would assume that the My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive records are the most worn down records in their collection. Moving away from a solo project, this is the first song as a duo.

Hey Elbow - FLOCK
FLOCK LP

FLOCK is a 40 minute continuous piece originally released for a stage performance with dancers and a set designer at Inkonst festival 2022 and now released on Adrian Records. Experimental, jazz influences, drone, ambient but not completely instrumental. The singing, chanting, choir singing, whatever you wanna call it, adds another interesting layer to the music. It will be performed at the Intonal festival in Malmö in April, be sure to check that out.

Kerosene Kream - Bye Mom!

I was lucky enough to see their last concert and it was fantastic! They released some new music on bandcamp before the concerts and it's just another proof that they should be playing together forever. Just as good as anything else there is. New year, new list. January brings the return of new music from three of the favourites from the 2025 years playlist and one new acquaintance. Enjoy!

Trio Ramberget - TR/I

The new year started with another fantastic release by Trio Ramberget. It is recorded live in a big oil cistern at the Nonagon Festival at the island Svanö, just outside of Kramfors in the northern part of Sweden. This is another record everyone should own, released on vinyl by the band.

PHSEII - Tomorrow

Gothenburg's own hypnotic minimalism duo delivers new music with an EP called “God” on Orissa Music and available on cassette from Papercut Cassettes.

Clutter - C.L.U.T.T.E.R.
Released 23/1 2026
Another great release from the band who brought back indie/grunge to Stockholm. 7” available on PNKSLM Records (they will launch the very exciting new PNKSLM PEACE PRIZE soon.) Looking forward to seeing Clutter live again.

2025 saw the release of their debut EP “Dystopia” and this is a new track available on a compilation cassette released by Dead End Records & Tennessee Cold Cuts with “14 previously unreleased tracks from some of the finest outfits located in Tennessee. It's a compilation that seamlessly hops genres from high octane punk, sonic guitar driven indie, garage punk, emo, grind and straight up weird. It's a killer from one to fourteen.”

This is a single from their upcoming album on the label Orissa Music from Gothenburg. If you blend some Spacemen 3 with some more of Spacemen 3 then you are pretty close to PHSEII’s first single. Can’t wait for the album.

It is interesting and has the perfect combination of catchy and alluring. The release of the EP was accompanied by an exhibition early July in Glasgow.

Faultline - The Marshal's Dance

David Kosten is a British music producer and engineer but beyond his production work he is also a musician in his own right, recording and releasing contemporary electronica under the moniker Faultline where he arranges abstract sounds. He has been releasing singles all through 2025, this one is from January and while the music is excellent you should also check out the covers for the singles, they are beautiful.
