This brings us to the end of our interview with Gibril Faye.

Earlier this year during our visit to The Gambia, we had the opportunity to meet a young and ambitious goalkeeper who dreams of becoming a professional footballer one day. Currently playing for Falcons FC, Gibril shared his football journey, his goals, and his passion for the game.

During the interview, he also spoke about the Gambian national team and expressed his confidence that The Gambia can qualify for the upcoming AFCON despite being drawn into a very difficult group alongside Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Somalia. According to Jibril, with the quality and talent available in the national team, the Scorpions have what it takes to make the nation proud once again.

Gibril also dreams of one day representing The Gambia at international level and believes that football remains one of the country’s greatest strengths.
