Fun fact: did you know porcelain was once called “white gold”? It’s fragile yet powerful, delicate yet enduring.

I spent a lovely morning day at Nymphenburg’s headquarters near Munich and it felt like stepping into a parallel universe where time is measured not in minutes, but in brushstrokes and kiln firings. Founded in 1747 on the grounds of Nymphenburg Palace, they’ve been creating porcelain the same way for nearly three centuries: entirely by hand.

And the most beautiful part? Every single piece can be traced back to the exact artisan who made it. Each craftsperson has their own personal stamp, a secret signature baked into the porcelain. It’s not just luxury… it’s intimacy.

Here, a teacup takes weeks. A figurine might take months. That’s the real definition of luxury: time, patience, and human hands.

Walking through Nymphenburg reminded me that true artistry isn’t loud… it’s precise, obsessive, and eternal. 🥹❤️

At least dito napupunta yung mga buwis na bibanayad namin 🤣 Charot! If you’re going to build a palace, do it like Queen Hedvig Eleonora - big, bold, and dripping in baroque drama. She basically said, “Versailles, but make it Nordic.”

Walking through Drottningholm and its perfectly symmetrical gardens feels like scrolling through 17th-century royal Instagram. I always bring friends here when they visit Stockholm. Also a great way to up Miss Declan’s step count.

Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and still home to the Swedish royal family, Drottningholm Slott is just ab fab. 🇸🇪💞❤️
