For my birthday, my brother surprised me with a weekend in Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮

Since everything was within walking distance of our hotel, we managed to see and do so much in just two days.

My highlights were the Sibelius Monument 🎶 and the exhibition featuring works by Tove Jansson’s family, and the textile exhibition by Magdalena Abakanowicz at the Helsinki Art Museum ✨🎨

Been biking 3 kilometres every day lately! 💪😜

That’s because I’ve been working at Kulturen in Lund these past two weeks 🏡✨ If you’ve never heard of Kulturen, imagine a museum but instead of collecting objects behind glass, they collect historic buildings and let you step inside to experience history for yourself! 👀

My job has been to portray a working-class woman from the 1930s and teach children what everyday life was like back then. The best part has definitely been letting them try lifting the heavy cast-iron and pedalling the mechanical sewing machine. It’s always so much fun seeing their reactions and listening to them trying to explain for me what kinds of smart inventions they have at home ”in the future” 😉

It’s never too late to start learning an instrument ❤️

So many people tell me, “I wish I had started when I was a kid.” But honestly, learning music isn’t just about mastering a new skill, it’s about doing something good for yourself.

Research has shown that playing an instrument can help reduce stress and support cognitive health as you get older 👵🏼✨

And here’s my favorite part: the benefits don’t depend on how good you are. They come from playing regularly, not from playing perfectly 🎶

So if you’ve been thinking about picking up a guitar, violin or any instrument, consider this your sign!

Your future self will thank you✨🤘

My work abroad continues in Norway! 🇳🇴

Right now I’m working at another music camp, teaching kids how to play cool licks on the keys 🎹 and dance the Macarena 🤪🎶

I’m also on a mission to find the Doctor Proctor movie on DVD since it was taken off Netflix 😭 No luck so far, but if anyone knows where I can find it, please let me know! 👀✨💿
