We’re back at St John’s next week on the 15th of August at 19:30, tickets can be found in our bio. Absolutely LOVE this poster by .am.drifting thanks so much!

For this edition of White Noise we come together as a community in St John’s on Bethnal Green Church to collaborate and create multi-speaker experience for our audience. Our participants choose their own place in the church and listen carefully to reflect their sonic or visual contribution to the space. The idea is not to compose music together but to use sound as tool to reflect our feelings and tell stories to the audience creating a audio visual narrative that can be explored by our visitors.

The format is BYOS - Bring Your Own Speaker so if you work with amplified sound, you’ll need to bring your own speaker. We’d love some acoustic sound too as this can work really well in the sonic environment of the church. People that work with light and projections will need to bring in their own equipment as well, BYOB style.

Some photos of day 01 during the first ever workshop. It was a beautiful day that exceeded all our expectations. We will come back with more for sure. Big thanks to of for lending us these amazing synths. Thanks so much to for co leading this and for offering the chapel and to for being there. And lastly thanks to all participants that trusted us and worked with so much dedication. Freedom of Failure!

I love this photo as it shows me being myself and enjoying the moment that gives me so much energy. I love building this community that is a free space for anyone to experiment with sound. 50 editions of White Noise is a milestone, and I’m really glad I could spend it surrounded by such great people.
Nearly 8 years of events have seen over 200 people being involved with performances and poster designs, from over 30 countries around the globe. Thousands of people have visited our events, and we continue to try to be as inclusive and open as possible.
White Noise is, and has always been, for anyone—no matter your experience, your background, or your practice. If you love sound and want to experiment, we offer our space for you :-)
