Light artists and projection people we need you!

We got quite a few people that are doing sound but looking for more visual oriented performers or installations.

For this edition of White Noise we come together as a community in St John’s on Bethnal Green Church to collaborate and create multi-speaker experience for our audience. Our participants choose their own place in the church and listen carefully to reflect their sonic or visual contribution to the space. The idea is not to compose music together but to use sound light and image as tools to reflect our feelings and tell stories to the audience creating an audio visual narrative that can be explored by our visitors.

The format is BYOS - Bring Your Own Speaker so if you work with amplified sound, you’ll need to bring your own speaker. We’d love some acoustic sound too as this can work really well in the sonic environment of the church.

People that work with light and projections will need to bring in their own equipment as well, BYOB style.

Get ready for the 3rd White Noise Workshop taking place again at the beautiful Brompton Cemetery Chapel with it’s incredible acoustics. Followed by the 56th edition of White Noise all on the 4th of July.

Book your place via our bio.

This is a beginners workshop but also open to more experienced people. During the workshop we will experiment with sine waves and spatial audio using bluetooth speakers. Our approach will be unconventional and experimental just as during our events. The workshop is lead by Sonnie Carlebach and Ronnie Deelen.

This is not a technical course, but an experiment where failure is not a problem, but an opportunity. Expect a safe, friendly, and supportive environment where you’ll be able to take things at your own pace. You’ll spend the day with two unique artists who will guide you toward an outcome that reflects your abilities both as an individual and as part of a group.

By the end the end of the day we will share the outcomes to the public during the 56th edition of White Noise. This will take shape in whatever way is defined by what we experience, learn, and create throughout the day. No pressure to succeed—just the freedom to fail.

Schedule:

13.00 - 15.00 Workshop
15.00 - 15.30 Break
15.30 - 17.30 Workshop
17.30 - 18.45 Break
19.00 - 19.30 Public sharing event during White Noise 56
