On 20 June, Knivsidan unleash a daring double A-side single: Cigarette + Nytt Blod

'Cigarett' is an electronically charged, emotionally smoking track about dependence, yearning, and being slowly consumed by someone you can’t let go of. It’s an intimate yet cinematic pop gem, where trap-inspired beats meet a darkly glowing sound and lyrics that cling like smoke in your lungs. With references to both love and destruction, “Cigarette” captures the feeling of being someone else’s poison... and loving it, even though it burns.

'Nytt Blod' erupts as a raw, electrifying anthem of reinvention: propulsive synths and industrial–tinged rhythms propel a celebration of shedding past regrets and embracing the unknown. The vocals... defiant, urgent.. ring out like a call to arms, every pulse of new blood charged with possibility, rebellion, and the sheer thrill of starting over.

Knivsidan was formed in Eskilstuna during a gloomy late summer. The band’s music reflects the environment where the songs were born – both physically and emotionally. The members have diverse musical backgrounds and share a common history in the Nyfors district, specifically the area colloquially known as “Knivsidan.” The band consists of Andreas Horvath, Pehr Skjoldhammer, and Stefan Eriksson.
