Hi guys, I have been a Broadcast Design Lead for ABS-CBN Global (The Filipino Channel) for 8 Years.During those years I have created more than 9,500 commercial and promotional videos for ABS-CBN(Couldn’t believe it myself, but we did hav 4-7 plugs per day).
I was in charge in creating optimized studio workflows with regards of Software and Hardware tools for our artists. My first experience in teaching began when I was also started training our juniors on how to become faster, and better to keep up with our fast-paced environment.
With support of ABS-CBN Global, they have also allowed me to grow as a leader by sending me to seminars abroad. One most memorable was CG Overdrive 2009 in Singapore. There, I have taken the VFX Track which was conducted by CG supervisors of Fast and The Furious 4, Underworld 3 and Angels and Demons Movie.
Afterwards, I shared these new learnings with the company, and that’s where I realized I also wanted to teach. The thing that I found lacking while teaching in the undergraduate level was, schools were more concerned about filling out the right forms and LMS, having quizzes and grades, and who has the highest masters degree, rather than actually mentoring students to develop their skill so that they can be ready in the real world. That is my mission for this page and this channel. To be able to help even just a little for those who aspire to get into this industry. And also to be free from that tyranny.
