Several lawmakers, including sitting senators and members of the House of Representatives, may face charges this January 15 over alleged kickbacks linked to an anomalous flood control project, Senator Imee Marcos claimed.
Sen. Marcos disclosed that among those reportedly included are Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva—both members of the Senate minority bloc—as well as former senator Ramon “B**g” Revilla Jr.
She added that information reaching her also pointed to the possible inclusion of several congressmen, notably Construction Workers Solidarity (CWS) Party-list Representative Edwin Gardiola, Benguet Representative Eric Yap, and his brother, ACT-CIS Party-list Representative Edvic Yap.
According to Sen. Marcos, draft charges have allegedly already been prepared against some of the named lawmakers.
“I understand they already drafted charges against Sen. Jinggoy (Estrada), Joel (Villanueva) and former senator (B**g) Revilla. Tapos balita ko, meron na rin daw against Rep. (Edwin) Gardiola, (Benguet Rp. Eric) Yap and his brother (ACT-CIS Rep. Edvic) Yap,” Marcos said during an online interview with reporters
