t's completely natural to feel that sense of waiting, to ask "When will it be my turn? When will my hard work pay off?" That hopeful anticipation can sometimes feel heavy, especially when you're pouring your heart into something and the results aren't immediately visible. It's tough to keep believing for good when things feel uncertain.
I remembered a teacher telling me to work hard and be prepare for the future but assured me that the future is unknown. creating a sense that after all your effort, it all came down to luck. That can definitely deflate your energy and spirit.
But I've found something more important than that in the years since: the understanding that Jesus truly knows what we need, and who we need. It's incredible to reflect on how what you once wanted has, through His grace, transformed into exactly what you needed.
It's easy to get caught up in wanting the big, flashy, and loud things life seems to offer. And while those desires aren't wrong, with Christ, we find a richness that far surpasses them. As we continue to hope with Jesus, we discover that He truly is all we need. It's not about dismissing our wants, but recognizing that so many of the things we chase are fleeting—they fade, they depreciate.
But one thing remains constant, always vibrant and true: Jesus' unwavering love for us.
So, beloved, as (We HOPE for what we do not yet have, we wait for it PATIENTLY - Romans 8:25) you might find yourself in this season of waiting, let's hold onto hope for the good that is to come, not doubt. Because Jesus has already paid the ultimate price, we can have good expectation in the hope we carry. Amen!
