Some homes are designed to impress — this one’s designed to tell a story.

In their 1,571 sqft maisonette in Ubi, the homeowners teamed up with Melissa and Rashi from Studio HP to create a soulful, eclectic haven filled with art, travel finds, and bold design.

From a terracotta-tiled foyer framing an arched doorway to emerald-green kitchen cabinets topped with jade sintered stone, every corner reflects their love for colour, craft, and conversation. The dining wall becomes a gallery for their art collection, while reupholstered furniture, Jaipur rugs, and pops of yellow spill warmth into the living spaces.

Upstairs, each room serves a purpose — from a geometric-featured study to a multipurpose wellness room and a spa-like ensuite complete with a bathtub. Despite the riot of textures and hues, the home flows seamlessly, bound together by the couple’s vibrant spirit and the designers’ eye for detail.

A home as lively as its owners — and just as full of heart.

There are two types of eclectic homes—those filled with cookie-cutter, store-bought novelties, and those thoughtfully curated with their occupants’ prized possessions. When the homeowners of this 1,571 sqft maisonette in Ubi met Melissa and Rashi from Studio HP, it was clear which direction thei...

Can a 3-room flat feel like a holiday home? For this couple of educators, the answer is a soft, resounding yes.
From slanted ceilings and outdated plumbing to a modern kitchen with a hidden door and a chic walk-in wardrobe, every inch of this resale HDB was reworked to bring calm and clarity.
Designed by Benjamin Toh of M2 Decor, this quiet retreat is proof that good design doesn’t need loud gestures—just thoughtful ones.

For two educators in their 40s, home had to feel like a calm and quiet retreat from their day jobs and the city’s unrelenting buzz. With only the directive to make the 3-room resale flat feel like a “holiday home”, interior designer Benjamin Toh of M2 Decor was left to interpret what that mean...

Lema’s Feel at Home isn’t your usual catalogue. It’s a slow, thoughtful journey across three homes—a secluded villa in the Orient, a layered Parisian apartment, and a serene New York penthouse—each one revealing how furniture becomes part of lived experience.
This is Italian design not just as decor, but as lifestyle: quiet, crafted, and deeply human.

Italian design brand Lema has long been celebrated for its understated elegance, modular systems, and refined craftsmanship, hallmarks of a company that bridges tradition and innovation. 37 years in, Häfele Singapore continues to prove that small spaces can still live large. With a legacy built on German engineering and thoughtful design, the brand remains a quiet force behind some of the most well-designed homes on the island.

This season, two standout launches show how functionality and aesthetics can go hand in hand: the all-in-one Combi Washer Dryer, perfect for compact homes and busy schedules, and the Black Forest Wardrobe Series, where storage meets sophistication in glass, eco-leather, and matte black finishes.

Whether it’s a velvet-lined drawer that glides silently or a steam wash cycle that finishes in under 30 minutes, these designs are built around how we actually live—not just how we want our homes to look.

From HDBs to landed homes, Häfele’s mission remains the same: to make every inch of space work smarter, feel better, and live beautifully.

As Häfele Singapore marks 37 years in the market, the German brand continues to prove why it remains a go-to for smart living solutions. Known for its combination of engineering precision and space-saving innovation, Häfele’s products reflect its ongoing commitment to design that adapts to how w...

Hongho and Solfi didn’t want a high-tech house or a Pinterest-perfect space—they wanted a home that feels right at every moment of the day. J Design & Build took this brief to heart, crafting an apartment in Parc Central that’s grounded, refined, and quietly luxurious.

From the soft glow of fluted wall panels to a dark walnut palette layered with limewash textures, every corner was designed to feel cohesive yet deeply personal. The master bedroom carries a rich, restful tone, while their daughters’ rooms reflect individual personalities—with one designed as a soft music haven, the other doubling as a calm guest retreat.

No smart gadgets here. Only smart design, made tactile, intuitive, and full of heart.

For homeowners Hongho and Solfi, a house isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about how a space feels at every moment of the day. “They wanted something that felt luxurious but not cold, beautiful but also very liveable,” says the team at J Design & Build, who took on the challenge of crafting...

The theme “Don’t (Just) Think Like An Architect!” wasn’t meant to challenge architects alone—it invited all of us to reimagine how we live, build, and belong.
At Archifest 2025, architecture became more than steel and glass. It became story and spirit.
Every talk, every installation, was a reminder that design begins not with a line, but with a question: who are we building for?

Three days. More than 90 speakers. A city reawakened by imagination. The Singapore AF Conference 2025, which opened this year’s Archifest with bold intellectual force, didn’t just push boundaries, it redrew the map of what architectural thinking could mean in a time of rapid change. Themed “Do...

When a creative couple with a newborn and live-in helper moved into a 3-room flat, they saw past its dated bones and into its potential.
With help from Mesh Werk Studio, walls came down, rooms were resized, and every corner now serves a purpose—with charm.
From a round dining table that anchors the social hub to a thoughtful kitchen split into zones, this home proves that size isn’t everything—intention is.

Can a 3-room HDB flat be turned into a home for four? The answer is yes for a couple in their 30s living with their newborn and live-in helper. With backgrounds in media and the creative arts, they saw beyond the dated layout and engaged Mesh Werk Studio to reimagine it with a mid-century modern twi...
